Search not working + more

If I have understood correctly when you are performing a search it takes you back to your site’s home page but the URL is showing something like this:

https://mylocalsite.com/?s=dharam&post_type%5B%5D=trips&post_type%5B%5D=package_tour&post_type%5B%5D=hotel-info&post_type%5B%5D=travelog&post_type%5B%5D=product

I also assume that you are using a child theme. If yes, can you try copying search.php file from parent theme to your child theme’s root and try again?

Hi thanks for the reply, I’m not using a child theme so i can’t do that and with the url its not displaying that it just goes back to my home, but adds a ? to the address so example.com turns into example.com/? but it shows my homepage

No problem just to let you know I also tried doing a child theme which is brilliant on desktop but it displays blank on mobile, not sure if its the theme or on my end as i’m new to doing a wordpress website
