Search not working

  • Earlier you had solved the issue by putting this define (‘COOKIEPATH’, ‘/’); in wpconfig

    It worked well until now – somehow Search is not working – users also complain that it is not working at times.

    I tried again now – with both Admin access on Laptop and as user on mobile etc.. Search is not filtering.

    Kindly help.

    i put it as persistent and it worked now. can you please explain the difference ?

    is it necessary that one search has to be persistent among say 5 search forms ?

    The meaning of the Persistent Search, and of the POST or GET options, is explained in:

    but please feel free to ask if you are interested in more details.

    The Persistent Search option is required on some installations where the search cookie is not guaranteed to survive an AJAX request, most likely because another plugin performs a new page load behind the scenes. For this reason the option is valid sitewide, and not on a form by form basis.
