Search not replacing the default search

  • Hi,

    I am using the plugin “WP Travel” with the theme “Travel Log” to create a travel website.
    This plug in creates ‘trips’ which I think are types of post. This holds details of tours like itinerary, dates, includes etc. The default WP search does not search inside the trip. This is the reason I am using ajax search lite. It seems to recognise trips and I have included it. But it doesn’t seem to replace the default search as I am getting the exact same search results that I was getting before installing this plugin. Nor is the search box changing (I dont want to change the look though)

    Hi,

    If the search box does not automatically change, when you have the automatic replacement enabled, then the search box in your theme is hard-coded and can be only replaced manually via code.
    You might have to ask the theme author which file to look for the replacement.
