Hello, I’m using the WP Extended Search plugin and have noticed that it switches the search result page layout based on the first post’s type. I would like to keep the default layout that’s used for blog post searches and was wondering if you could assist me in fixing this issue. Is there a hook or another method to reconfigure the behavior? Thank you!

    Hi,

WPES does not change the layout of search results page. It must be your theme or other plugin.

Please disable all plugin except WP Extended Search and switch to default theme e.g. twenty twenty. Do you see the same issue?
If yes then enable all plugins one by one and switch to your current theme to know which theme/plugin causing issue.

    Thanks

You’re right. Another plugin implementing a custom post type switched the search template depending on the first returned post type.

So issue solved. Thanks for taking the time!
