Search just retrns me to my site's homepage

    If I understand correctly it happens also with the native bbPress search box, that displays on forum index etc.?
    If that’s the case then something is wrong with bbPress on your install or it’s another plugin/theme conflict.

    My plugin “only” uses the available bbPress search functionality, nothing more. So search display and all is fully handled via bbPress core! My plugin “only” offers the input field (and the widget around etc.).

    Does make some sense?

    Have you contacted bbPress support at bbpress.org for the native bbPress search results/display?

    Had the same problem, this worked out for me:

    Go to plugin forums settings, check if Forum Prefix is selected. Seems it fixed out the problem.

    Thank you very much for your feedback and suggestion!
    I never thought of this setting but for me it makes sense: if there’s no forum prefix the search function can come into trouble…

    Maybe there will be some improvement in bbPress for this? Don’t know if possible as this is highly effected by WordPress Core rewrite rules and permalinks.
