Search in author?

    The website is about book sales, so I have exposed author in products. Also the authors will be creating their own book entries and posting about their works. So I’d like to have “Search in author?” along with “Search in title?”, etc.

    Hi Ernest,

    I have solved the problem by establishing a rule that all authors will have a tag of their name and that should be added to all their posts. So this will solve my issue, but at the expense of additional procedure.

    Might it not be a good idea to have ‘author’ as another ‘search in’ field at some stage? After all ‘title’ and ‘author’ are pretty much both basic WordPress variables.
