Search in another wordpress installation

Hello friends. Some of you know tell me if you can configure the plugin to search in other wordpress installation (domain and different server. Not multisite)?
Currently I can do it with the Google Custom Search (CSE). But Google’s solution costs me almost $ 1,000 per year ??
