• I’m helping to assemble a group portfolio site for my comic book and illustration studio, and we’d like visitors to be able to search our galleries for images, but so far, none of the image tags, captions or metadata for the images seem to show up in our search results. We’re using the Nextgen gallery plug-in. Anyone have any suggestions?

    Here’s the site: https://periscopestudio.com/wordpress

(You’ll also notice that a succesful search that turns up an archive page breaks the formatting. We’re working on that too. Sigh.)

  • I second this question.

If you enable tags in gallery options and then use the [albumtags=example] code on your page then the search returns the image results.

However I’d like to just use the normal method of sorting my galleries.

I like the tag and album tag features but often photographs have multiple tags and so they end up in loads of galleries.

    Hope that made sense.

Same question. I run an alumni site and our image captions are full of names, class years, etc. People are constantly searching for names but the galleries do not show up in the results.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Search is a real problem, because the images, galleries are added dynamic. Some users reprted that this plugin https://urbangiraffe.com/plugins/search-unleashed/ can handle this maybe ( I never tested it )
