    Hi,

Since the latest major update (Zakra 4.0) I have a problem with the new Header Builder on the mobile. The search icon appears on top of the mobile tribar (toggle button) while it is not placed on the builder as a component.

Related screenshots from a clean localhost installation that I reproduced the same problem with my live website:

I will be grateful if you could help.

    Regards,
    Chris

  • Hi @chrisv234,

The search icon is placed as a component in the header builder for desktop view, here is the screenshot for your reference: https://prnt.sc/zpIyx2S4qRNH

For mobile view we add the search icon inside the toggle bar, which is why the search icon is not displayed as a component.

I hope this information helps. Let me know if you need any more information and I will get back to you.
    Regards!

Ok, I get it now but in my humble opinion, it seems a bit counterintuitive.

If I don’t want a search option in my website and I remove it from the desktop header, I will still get it in the mobile menu whether I like it or not. I can’t find an option to disable the search widget from the toggle button for the mobile. Moreover, the 2in1 icon might cause confusion to some users like in my case.

Anyway, can you please provide a quick script/snippet to just change the icon?

    Regards,
    Chris

    Hi Chris,

Since, The theme is using one single icon for both the Toggle Menu and Search icon, it won’t be easy to replace theme with some scripts. However, I have forwarded this issut to our developement team and they will release an update with fix.

    Thank you for your patience.
    Regards!
