    Hello

I have installed the Ivory Search plugin and it works on every page except the home page. When I click on the search icon, the link simply doesn’t work.
If I deactivate the old slider plugin on this page, the search plugin does then work, so I have been told this may be a conflict with loading an old JQuery library. Unfortunately I don’t know enough about JQuery or Javascript to know how to resolve this.
I did look at the Firefox developer console and got a couple of errors up saying ‘TypeError: $(…).on is not a function’.
The site is using the latest version of WordPress but both the theme and the slider plugin are fairly old now.
Any suggestions of things I could try very appreciated.

The site is using the latest version of WordPress but both the theme and the slider plugin are fairly old now.

To rule out a plugin/theme conflict, try:
    – deactivating ALL (yes all) plugins temporarily to see if this resolves the problem (plugin functions can interfere). If this works, re-activate them individually (one-by-one) to find the problematic plugin(s).
    – switching to the unedited default Theme (Twenty Twenty, etc.) for a moment using the WP dashboard to rule out any theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

Many thanks for your advice @t-p
I’ve concluded that the slider plugin is too old and this is causing the problem.
Appreciate you taking the time to reply.
    All the best.
