    Hello,

We’re having trouble with the search function on our site. If I’m not logged in, the search function returns no results, even though the products I’m searching for are there. So if a new customer comes to the site, or if a customer returns without logging in, it will appear as if we have no products available. This is also a problem if I send someone a link to a search results page, because it will not display the products it’s supposed to.

If I am logged in, the search function works for me as it should. However, a customer reported that this did not work for her. The search function still did not return any results after she logged in.

If someone could point me in the right direction to get this resolved, I’d be most appreciative.

    Thanks,
    Will

This is usually the cause of a theme or plugin conflict. You can read more about plugin and theme conflicts here: ?
    https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-self-service-guide/

The best way to determine if the issue is being caused by a theme and/or plugin is to do the following:

    1. Temporarily switch your theme back to the Storefront or Twenty Seventeen Theme.
    2. Disable all plugins except for WooCommerce and your payment gateway.
    3. Test to see if the issue has been resolved.

If that resolves the issue, then one-by-one you can switch back your theme and re-enable your plugins, testing in between, until you find the one causing the conflict.

Health Check is a tool that can be useful for debugging, though it works best with an official default theme like Storefront or Twenty Seventeen. On the troubleshooting tab, you can click the button to disable all plugins and change the theme for you while you’re logged in to that session without affecting normal visitors to your site.

Let us know what happens with this!
