Search friends option

  • Hi guys,
    I hope you could help me, I have a little question ??
    I’m interested in running a small social network in my site, now I heard that Buddypress is the best plugin for this, however, I wanted to ask, is there a way to add a friend search option to the site? I want people to be able to find one another.
