Search form no longer appears

    We’ve added a search icon to the right end of our navigation using this plugin. It used to work but no longer shows a search form. I shut off all other plugins, switched the theme to Twenty Twenty, and found that the form does work. If I leave other plugins off and switch to the original theme (Brooklyn, found on Theme Forest) it stops working. I’ve been searching for an error or warning in the browser console but nothing shows. The JS for this plugin is loading in the footer where it belongs.

    I’m stuck, I don’t know how to figure out what the conflict is between the theme and Ivory Search. The site is running WP 5.5.1. Can you give me an idea where to look next?

    Awesome great to see you found out that it is theme confict issue.

    Please make sure that you are using the latest version of the theme and If you still face the issue with it then please contact the theme support as it was working fine earlier.

    Hi Vinod,

    Yes, I’ve determined it’s a theme conflict issue. I was hoping you’d be able to give me some idea how themes commonly conflict with Ivory Search, as I can’t seem to find any evidence of an error in the console.

    There are thousands of themes and various ways the theme conflict with the plugin as each theme is developed uniquely so I can’t give you any idea but your theme developer may help you.

    Figured you’d say that. I’m trying to get support from them now. I may have to switch to SearchWP’s Modal Search Form instead.
