Search for recipes or ingredients and ratings

    Hi,

    I have a few more questions I hope you can help me with:

    I am using the Virtue theme an have a search box in there. This search does not call any information from the recipes back. Can you please tell me how I can create a search which users can use when looking for a recipe name, certain ingredient or specific instruction?

    I can add a 5 star rating ?? but is there a way that visitors of the site can rate the recipes and how can these be managed by the admin?

    Is there a way to add a custom (default) field to the prep time area showing the hotness of a dish (level of spicyness)?

  • Hi Dutchland,

    Right now, search by ingredients doesn’t work. It’s in my todo list.

    User rating is not available right. Something I will look at adding in the future as well.

    Hmm…”hotness” of a dish sounds interesting. I’m considering adding custom labels in the future. Would that help? Perhaps you can create a “Mild”, “Spicy”, and other labels and apply them to recipes.

    To search on ingredients is a really important feature, so if you say it is on your ‘to do list’, I will wait patiently. Well, I will try anyway ??

    I will try to solve the ratings with a plug in for now (if this is possible?).

    I am not sure what labels are and what they would look like, but I am sure you understand what I mean and I am convinced you will create the best possible way to add a ‘hotness level’.
