We are using WooCommerce version 5.1.0 and WordPress version 5.6.2. In the admin when searching by order number the older items do not appear. Items from the first few pages do. Could this be related to your plugin? I can’t turn it off for testing because it’s a high volume shop.

  • Experience the same issue I believe.

After running the database update, only new orders are searchable.
    Using Version 1.3.1.

Were you able to find a fix? We are having same issue after doing updates.

    Version: 1.3.1
    Thanks!

We have the exact same issue. All started after the recent update.
    Version: 1.3.1

    Has been a great plugin, until…… ??

I have not found a solution for this. I’m a plugin developer and would be happy to assist the team in testing but I haven’t heard anything back yet from them.

Facing similar issue after the update.

    Same issue here.
We were able to resolve this and regain the search function by downgrading to the Plugin Version 1.2.12 via the advanced view here:

    Hope that helps

@marioprimal Had you guys updated the database too post update of the plugin? I had updated it and I doubt if the roll back will work for me. Hence the question. Was assuming it will update database in background and will work after few hours but sadly it didn’t.

@rohit1407 not sure how to validate if the DB was updated but we do click all the update steps after an upgrade as per usual.

I would reccomend testing this rollback in a staging environment before proceeding, that’s what we did and it worked. Not sure if the DB upgrade prevents the old way from happening or if we somehow never were prompted to upgrade(which could explain why it dint work anymore with version 1.3.)

@rohit1407 we did have the issue that only new orders were searchable, so that would point to the fact that the db update was successful and still the old version of the plugin still works.

    Hi all @marioprimal @rohit1407 @fencer04 @corparmormike @temprano

    Apologies for the delayed response.

For fixing the search issue, you will need to save the settings of the Custom Order Number once without making any other changes. Screenshot of the settings page you need to save:?https://www.awesomescreenshot.com/image/7469592?key=a4da38929355e565e836639941673dfe?( In the screenshots the value of the setting are for demo don’t change the value of your setting to this)

After saving the settings the issue of searching the order by order number will be fixed and you will be able to search any order with the order number.

Please let us know how it goes and if you have any queries doing this please let us know.

Not sure I understand the fix here.
I just clicked on the save button and just got an error message.
Is the save button supposed to generate a new database change?

Can you please let us know which error message did you got on saving the settings page? And yes on saving the settings page it will do the changes in the database.

Our store has over 21,000 orders and when we click save we get a timeout message. This isn’t resolving the issue for us.

    Hi

I just tried the fix and after pressing save, a blank screen comes up and no confirmation is received. Tried it more than once.

attempted the fix as described. Saving results in a critical error:

“There has been a critical error on your website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.

Learn more about debugging in WordPress.”

We have 50k+ orders in the system
