On the Entries page in the backend, I’m trying to search for certain values but I keep getting the message: “This form does not have any entries matching the search criteria.” even though I’m searching for the exact info.

I deactivated the encryption plugin and searched for the encrypted values and it found the info successfully.

How can the search/filter box on the entries page be used to search for the encrypted data?

If it matters, I’m using Weak Encryption for the type.

Can you at least describe how one would go about doing this?

    Sorry, for the late response.
To be honest, I am not sure if I fully tested the Search capabilities. It may be possible that since the data is encrypted in the database that it can’t find any results as the search string is un-encrypted.

It may be possible to allow searching to work as long as your search phrase is exactly the same as an entry like the Users Name, Email, Phone, Etc.
I will add this to my list of TODO’s for future updates.

However, searching for mid-sentance phrases will not work as there is now way to compare with encryption.

    Example:
Searching for “john” with not match “[email protected]”.
That will just have to be a compromise you will have to make when using Encryption.

Thank you for the update. This would be excellent if you could pull it off!

Do you have any type of ETA?
