Search & Filter Plugin not working anymore

I am also running 4.5.2 and trying the plugin for the first time. When I add the Shortcode, I only see a Search button and nothing else. No filters, dropdown, checkboxes, etc. Wondering if this is related?

Same problem as jhample here :
Whatever shortcode I try on my WP 4.5.2,
I only get a “submit” button displayed in front office ??

I’ve checked and tested a few times – I can’t recreate the issues with latest S&F + WP 4.5.2.

I guess not all users are experiencing this issue as there would be more tickets about this, but there must be something in common.

Can you (all) show me what shortcode you are trying to use and which theme (can you test with a default theme also?) – and if possible a link to see the problem would be fantastic – if you want to send links privately please use my contact form here –

Hi all. It is possible that you need to Flush Cache or Purge (depending on your Hosting). With GoDaddy Managed WordPress, I had to use the Flush Cache button then the search / filter started behaving and showing drop downs. Hope this helps someone.

I’ve not had anyone get back to me about any of this ?? – so if there is anyone else experiencing these problems feel free to weigh in or contact me via the link above for further investigation – this is high priority – but currently cannot replicate.

Hey clarisse75018, do you have any sites on WP 4.5? Can you let me know if its working there?

I didn’t test this for previous versions of WP, but as of the last few updates there have hardly been big changes to the plugin so not sure why that would stop working.

S&F free + pro actually have quite different codebases – I’m pretty sure pro is not suffering from these recent issues as I’ve had no reports over there like this.

I have a similar problem, the difference is, when I add just 1 field, it works, as soon as I add another, only the 1st field works.

This plugin doesnt work. Just now i installed to test it and like clarisse already said, everything aside search button is not visible. This is not plugin to trust, first the author said before a year there will be version 2.0 out in few months but i still see version 1.x.x. Second, author went MiA for 3 weeks without any updates.

Tested with premium (paid) theme and twenty sixteen with same result and no caching.

@diabolico – can you provide any more info to your problem so we can try to resolve it? – ie WP version, PHP version, Server, URL?

No one has gone MIA as you can see from the threads (and my response now) – support is given to our Pro customers first… We roughly check the free forums once a week.

As mentioned I’m keen to get this fixed, but I literally cannot replicate the issue, and the earlier users’ above didn’t follow up with any additional information – which means its near impossible for me to track this issue down.

Saying that, you’ll see new comments and reviews for this plugin over the past few weeks as well as the downloads, which means that this issue is certainly not affecting everyone.

Ok fair enough. Here is my page with search conmendo.com/search/, used shortcode [searchandfilter taxonomies=”category,post_tag”], WP is 4.5.3, Divi theme from ElegantThemes and last version of your plugin. Same result i get if i use default WP theme.

Thats certainly odd – could it be that there are no posts assigned to your taxonomies etc?

Check the hide_empty option:

So your shortcode would be –
[searchandfilter fields="category,post_tag" hide_empty="0,0"]

– also not that taxonomies should be fields

Do you have any further info such as WP version, server type?

Can you enable WP_DEBUG and let me know of any errors?
