Search filter and uninstall problem

    My website is still under construction, so not available for public viewing.

    I have 2 problems – one with the search filters and the other with uninstalling the plugin. The search filter field titles are showing correctly i.e. type, bedrooms, price etc. However amending the choices does not work. For instance, I can delete options with no problem – flat, apartment, house, but not add them or amend the names. For the ‘type’ field – I have about 8 types of property saved, but only one is showing as a choice – and not the full list.

    I have tried to delete and reinstall the plugin – but my original settings are still there. I have deleted the folder via sftp and also used a plugin to clean the leftover files (2). Everything relating to the plugin has been deleted and cache cleared. After trying these various methods I still cannot reinstall the plugin without my settings already being pre-loaded. I want to start again to see if I can get the search filters set up and working, and also to re-download the demo files. How do I get over this problem please?

    Hello!

    Make sure the types are applied to the posts. Otherwise, they will not be displayed as the search options. What happens if you are trying to add the new options?

    The settings of the plugins are saved in the database. If you want to delete all the settings, the DB should be cleared as well.
    We are currently considering if we can add an option to reset the settings.

    Thank you for your reply. I have now reset my whole site and started again – which means I now have the demo files back – which are really great! As far as I could tell, all the database files were deleted, but there must be something I missed. Even my hosting provider tried to delete everything – but the original settings still came back every time so it was impossible to carry on as it was. It would be a really great idea to have an option to reset the settings. Also perhaps an option to be able to re-download the demo files. Unfortunately I am very new to wordpress and using everything, so am learning as I go along and messed up the demo files and couldn’t find a way to get them back. Now that I have started from scratch things are looking a lot better. I see that I now have 4 options available under the ‘types’ filter. I am able to edit the names on any of the 4 which are showing. It would be great if you could do a short video on setting up and editing all the search filters – then a new person such as myself could just follow that. I can see under data manager, parameters, types there are 10 types of property listed, but only 4 showing on my search filter menu. This is what I do not understand – why are only 4 showing – when there are 10 listed? I think I am not understanding how the set up of the filters works – how do you apply the types to the post? Thanks so much for your help!
