    Hello,

I’m using an addon to filter posts (Blog Filter). There’s an option to search among posts, but this search box cannot be styled. The developers of Blog Filter told me that that “Search field does not have any CSS it gets css design from the themes.

My question is thus, is there any way to change the search field design in Spectra? For instance, make the field wider and taller.

What is wierd though, is that when the standard “Search” block is used it looks different compared to the search field incorporated in the Blog Filter block (see link)

    Thanks,

    Hi @mooer,

Thanks for getting in touch with us.

I am seeing you are using WordPress core search block. I would suggest you to use the Spectra search block as it has more advanced options: https://wpspectra.com/docs/wp-search/

Please try and let me know how it goes.

    Have a nice day!

    Thanks for your reply.

Actually, I cant find the Spectra search block. It’s not listed among the other blocks at the Spectra settings page either.

Anyway, that’s not the real issue. What I’m wondering is, if it’s possible to change the the Spectra Theme’s CSS design of the search field, as according to the developers of Blog Filter the search box incorporated in their block inherits the design from the theme.
