• Hi all,

I’m using GeoTheme plugin to create a place/event directory.
When I activate the Event Calendar, the “search” feature of WordPress stop working.

My question is: how can I avoid any interference of the Event Calendar with the search?
I guess there are some filters and hooks but I can’t find what to disable.

I’m not looking to fix an incompatibility, I just want the Event Calendar to leave alone the WP search.

    Thanks!

    Hi Nicola,

    Can you help me here?
The plugin search is conflicting, I just want to disable that.

    thanks!

    Do you have 1.10.9-Standard installed?

    Hi Nicola,

    I’m on Version 1.10.1 :S

Do you think that the upgrade to 1.10.9 will fix?

If it’s 1.10.1-Standard no it will not fix anything, it’s just a plugin conflict but i really have no idea how that could be solved. Did you ask the GeoTheme guys?

No I’ve no access to their support anymore.

But my point here is: I want to avoid the calendar plugin to do anything with the search.
I only use the calendar plugin for the beautiful front-end ??

I guess there’s a filter, hook or action somehow that is related with the search result.
I just want to find that and remove it.

    Does it make sense?

    Thanks!

I don’t know of any filter related to search, things probably are just conflicting for some strange reason. Most of the filters/actions are set in the __construct() method of the controller classes so you could look there to see if you find something that might conflict.

    Hi Nicola,
I”m going crazy with this issue ??
Can you point me out any resource to understand how can I troubleshoot a conflict?

The Event Calendar is somehow affecting the search query feature.

    Thanks
