Search failed to search tags

  • I did a search on “hardware” my topics but it only returned posts with “hardware” in it.

    I had another post with “hardware” tag but it did not turn up.

    What is the point of tagging (except for relating posts) if the search function did not manage to search tags ?

  • I am also having the same problem. My search won’t even return things with the tag or the word in the title even! For example, I am a furniture maker and have several tables on my site. The word “table” is not only in the tags but also in the title, the description, the body of text, etc. When I type in “table” into the search it only returns about half of the items and half of those are really unrelated. Some don’t even have the word “table” in the tags. What can I do to fix this?!
    Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    The “Search Everything” plugin doesn’t work with 2.8, even though it says it’s updated. “WP Search Tags” also doesn’t work. Does anyone know a plugin that does work with the new version of WP?
