Search engines don't like freeware ?

I hear that search engines don’t take seriously websites based on free design software, or free web hosting.

Sorry but that’s just plain rubbish! That said, I wouldn’t advise using WordPress on free hosting as you’re likely to have far more problems compared to use a good, paid, host.

If you bring your own domain to the table, search engines won’t care what tool you used to develop the site, generally speaking.

Search engines parse the information in the website. You want to make sure the website is W3C compliant and that you have meta tags properly defined to help with SEO.
