Search engines cause entrances other than landing page

Hello,
First off, I am new to wordpress and building websites in general, I have just built my first site using wordpress and am really pleased with how easy it was to work with and how well it turned out. Thanks to everyone that contributes to this project!

So, I have the wordpress landing page configured in the settings/reading options, but Google is still causing landings on other pages (www.mydomain.com/tags/random-tag/). Is there a way to avoid this? Obviously, Google liked the content on the individual post and I don’t want to do anything to hurt that, but at the same time it would be really great to have them redirected to my main entrance page.
Any advice?
