    Hi,

    I am running version 6.7.1 and I get a notification in the Dashboard that says ‘Your site is not visible to Search Engines’.

    Ticking the checkbox in the WordPress ‘Reading’ settings will discourage search engines from indexing. Having it unticked will allow indexing and this is the setting I am using.

    Based on my testing, the notification logic is inverted – the warning notification appears if the box is unticked (indexing allowed) and is cleared if the box is ticked (indexing not allowed).

    A small code tweak I guess – just thought you would like to know.

    after checking this, we have not been able to reproduce the issue.

    Can you take a screenshot of this notification please?

    The problem seems to have resolved. I ticked the box again and I got a new notification, which I was able to fix using the button. No notification for that is now visible.

    That said, should there be a way to clear the unwanted items in the sidebar? – I see no control for that. Screenshot attached.

    This is the new section “Hidden notifications” where you can find your old notifications. However, we are not yet fully satisfied with this area and we will iterate on this in future updates.

    Hi Benjamin,

    Thanks for the update. I must say that the notifications panel is rather confusing to use and it is not clear what is actually hidden and what is not. PersonalIy I would not expect to see any ‘hidden’ (ignored?) notifications displayed unless I click the ‘Show hidden’ button. Perhaps also put a control on a hidden notification to ‘unhide’ it.
