• Hello,

I am facing a problem that even after clicking on the check box of Search Engine Visibility Discourage search engines from indexing this site the title of the site is still cached by search engine.

    I need to move <meta name=’robots’ content=’noindex,follow’ /> just below the <head tag>

Please advice me which file I need to edit to do this.

    Hope I explained

    Thanks in advance.

  • That’s unlikely to make any difference. You should try using their Remove URLs Tool if Google still has a cache of a link from your site.

    Hope that helps.

    Thanks for the reply,

The above link can only stop google to crawl content ??

I can use robot.txt file but I want to use it on my Multisite network.

    Thanks

    Hello

I have checked the forum and found that this is very common problem that SE’s are indexing the Title and Description.

    Thanks
