I have a couple of posts which are photo galleries using this plugin – much better than the WP gallery which doesn’t do much. But using the WP gallery you get a good score on SEO because search engines can see the alt text on the pictures.

But with the plugin when I look at the SEO analysis on Yoast it says there aren’t any images on the page – which of course there aren’t, because they’re somewhere else, there’s just a shortcode on the page.

You can tell I don’t really understand the mechanics of what’s going on, but my question is that if I have alt texts on the photos, will search engines see them and find them? Even though Yoast is saying they’re not there?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Hi again: I looked at the Yoast forum and it seems their plugin doesn’t parse shortcodes but not to worry, the search engines will find them.
