I’m not sure what the problem is, but I wanted to completely reset my stats because it seemed like the new version 9.6.1 was not recording things. I visited Google, Bing and Yahoo…searched and clicked to get a referral to my domain. (they still never showed for some reason)

TO clear the data and start fresh, I selected OPTIMIZATION, PURGING, and Emptied ALL the tables.

Once completed I looked at the overview. The Search Engine Referrals all show zero for both columns, but the total count underneath shows 223. How can that be?

The “current time” is showing the server time and not the “adjusted” time set in my wordpress.

The search engine referrals GRAPH is still populated with data!
and the top referring sites still has data.

Perhaps I’m trying to clear this the wrong way??

    Any ideas?

Can you see the number of rows in the wp_statistics_search table?

The search table wasn’t added to the empty code so it remained populated with data. You can manually empty it with phpMyAdmin or I’ll have a new release out in a day or two you can use.

Search engine referrals are very dependent on the search engine providing the information to us and they often don’t so I’m not surprised you didn’t see yourself added.

Likewise if you were logged in as the admin your hit may have been excluded along with the referral assume you have the default setup of excluding administrators.

Thanks! I don’t like messing with the SQL database directly. Too easy for a mistake and I zap the wrong thing with no way to get it back. ?? But thank you for the reply! I will look forward to the new feature where I can reset all the stats to zero like its a new install. again, THANKS!
