Search doesn’t work properly on laptop. . No search button on Mobile

    Hello,

    I’ve been having an issue with the search button. When I try searching on laptop, say I type in “sleep,” it generates results but comes out vertically and kind of illegible. On mobile, no search button at all, which I’m assuming it should show up at the bottom of pulldown menu maybe?

    Please let me know if I need to add any additional CSS code etc.

  • Hi @sunkissummer,

    I checked your site and you use a caching plugin that minifies all CSS code and overwrites the default one. Please deactivate it.

    Regarding the search button on mobile, make sure that you added it on your mobile Header goint to Customize -> Header -> Change menu: https://prnt.sc/ufccrb.

    Thank you for your response! The mobile search button issue has been taken care of.

    Re the minifying plugin, I’ve never installed any of them like Autoptimize or Fast Velocity etc…I went over all plugins and plugins possibly minifying some code would be Lazy Load and AMP. However, I had had this issue already, before installing these two plugins. So, I don’t think these two are the trigger.

    Any other plugins possibly I should look into/remove?

    I can’t tell you exactly what plugin it is, but here you can see from where the CSS is coming from and see it is from a cache: https://prnt.sc/ugvxf6

    I was suggested using the plugin called “Plugin Detective” and the issue was solved.
