Search Doesn’t Work on Home Page

Since I couldn’t get this plugin to work on one of my sites without breaking my category.php, we’ve created a completely separate site to use this plugin. However, for some reason the gallery’s Search functionality doesn’t work if we use the plugin on the home page. It just sends us to a ‘Nothing Found’ page. The Search function does work if the plugin is on a non-home page. How can we get this plugin to work on the Home page?
