    Since yesterday I tried:

    1. Changing the theme
    2. Tried standard search, Fibosearch, SearchWP
    3. Optimized Translatepress database tables
    4. After translating a brand new product and visit its page on my 2nd language, it still doesn’t show in search results for that language.
    5. Disabled all cache and file optimization plugins and server cache.

Noticed 1 more thing: Even if I change to my 2nd language (English), the search still shows results for my 1st language (Bulgarian), on both ajax search and the search results page, no matter what language I change to. But it never shows results for my 2nd language.

    Hi,

Could you give me more deatils about what is your configuration, maybe a link to your website in order to test the search function? Do you sue the default WP search or you have a custom plugin/AJAX search?

Normal WordPress search should work as expected, but custom queries you may have if you have an advanced search plugin will not work as they will continue to search in the original language.

Also, if you use the default WP search system, you need to access one of the translated content first, then it will appear in the search results. Otherwise, it won’t be found.

Hello dear, I will gladly give you a link. You have no idea how many tutorials, posts and forums I have read in the past 2 days.

Currently the site uses the standard search but I have tried Fibosearch (which stated that it works with transaltepress AND also my other site uses the same configuration with the same version of translatepress and fibosearch and works great – city-studio-bg.com)

The site I have problem with is: https://bgcraftsgallery.com/

    Take for example this product:

    Original language – https://bgcraftsgallery.com/product/momiche-s-tyurban/

    2nd languange – https://bgcraftsgallery.com/en/product/momiche-s-tyurban/

I have also tried to convert the database tables from innodb to myiasm – did’t work again.

Tried with elastic search on my server – didnt work

However there are several products that appear there like this one with the search term “hare”:

    https://bgcraftsgallery.com/en/?s=hare&trp-form-language=en

Also, when you change to English version, you can still search products in Bulgarian and the search will return ALL of the results.

I really really hope you can help me solve this…

I have disabled the caching and optimization plugins while you test.

So, on https://bgcraftsgallery.com/ are you using WP default search system? It looks more like the search function comes from a particular plugin or theme.
Try switching to a default WP theme and see if you will notice any difference. If not, please open a ticket on our website, https://translatepress.com/support/ask-a-presale-question/, where to mention about this issue and the fact you already contacted us on the free support. It may need to investigate this in detail.

    Thanks!

I have tried with theme change before – it was one of the 1st things I did.

I will try to contact the TP support
