Search custom taxonomies?

    Hi folks,

    I recently installed SearchIQ on my WordPress site at https://www.fifthestate.org/ and am looking forward to fine-tuning it to meet my needs.

    I would be grateful if you could help me with one type of customization: In addition to the main Search function that I have placed as a widget in the lefthand sidebar, I have a search box called Search FE Authors that finds articles based on the custom taxonomy I created called FE Authors. This relates to authors of articles in print, not authors of pages or posts.

    After installing SearchIQ the Search FE Authors function no longer works. Is there a customization I can do within SearchIQ to accomplish the same thing? Or re-enable the query filter I have been using up to now? If so, I would appreciate it if you could give me a few pointers on how to do it.

    hi robby,

    Our plugin is not yet able to support custom field that i believe your author name currently store. We will have it in 1 month. However, even we don’t this feature, we shouldn’t break your existing plugin. I will have my dev take a look for you. It may need to get this plugin from you or go to your site with permission to run test. Send me your email address so I can coordinate this for you. My email is [email protected]

    I would also like to vote for searching taxonomies!
