Search Custom Post Types

  • I have created a Custom Post Type ‘Staff’
    There are Categories in the Staff – Head Office, Regional Reps and Craft Reps.
    Regional Reps also has a custom field of Regions.

    I want to create a search and filter form on my Staff page to search by the options above and for the list of staff below to change accordingly so if Regional Reps is selected, all of the other staff members will disappear.
    Is this straight forward to do? Are there any tutorials that are not just adding a plugin?
    Please Help!
