Search Country field based on first letter

    Hi there,

    Currently when you search/type a particular Country in the Country field on the WooCommerce checkout page it displays all countries based on all characters that exist within the word versus limiting it to the first letter of the Country.

    It there a setting in WooCommerce or snippet available that would search based on just the first letter versus all letters in word?

    Currently, WooCommerce’s default behavior is to search for all characters within the word when you type in the country field. This is designed to help customers find their country more easily, even if they only remember a part of the country’s name.

    Unfortunately, there is no built-in setting in WooCommerce that allows you to modify this behavior directly.

    That being said, it is possible to alter this functionality with custom code, but it would require some technical knowledge and could potentially impact other aspects of your site.
