Not sure why my previous post about this error was removed, but I’ll repost again. For the Store Location feature, searching by postcode in many scenarios returns

“Address could not be found. WP Google Maps uses a 3rd party service … to convert geographic coordinates”…

It is inconsistent with the postcodes that this error is returned. e.g 2000, the centre of Sydney, returns this the error. 3000, the centre of Melbourne, does not return an error.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi @sonicavatar,

WP Google Maps makes use of the Google Maps API in order to return certain results. Upon searching, a request is sent to the Google Maps API which then depending on the search will then return a result, however, if the Google Maps API was not able to find a location, no results will be returned and instead, this error will occur.

This does appear to occur with specific postal codes, however, there is not much we can do as this is controlled by the Google Maps API and not by WP Google Maps. With these instances, you may need to be more specific such as searching for “postcode 2000 Australia”
