Search Button Not Visible on Tablet and Mobile Layouts

    I’ve been using the Botiga theme for a website and it looks great, but I’ve noticed that the search icon disappears in mobile or tablet layout, only visible in the pc layout. The same goes for the Demo of Botiga Free which uses the same header layout as I am. Hiding other icons does not display search, so it’s not an issue of being hidden by overflow, and inspecting the code shows masthead-mobile does not have the search icon listed.

    Search with ajax calls in the header when displayed on all devices is really important for my site functionality.

    Is there a way for me to implement search in the header on mobile and tablet, and if so, preferably without editing the theme HTML so that it’s compatible with future theme updates? Thanks a lot, much appreciated in advance.
