Search box on mobile device

    Hey again Scott,

    The “address book” functionality has proven VERY useful for my sales team, but they’ve noticed that it doesn’t function the same way via mobile devices as it does via desktop.

    On desktop there’s a type-friendly search box present.

    On mobile that doesn’t seem to be present anywhere. All you get to look up a contact with is a very large dropdown in our case. They can still find what they’re looking for this way, but a search box like the desktop version would be very helpful for them in the field. Our sales managers are on the road just about every day.

  • We did realize that it didn’t work by default on mobile. There are reasons why it doesn’t (largely because the smartphone’s keyboard would cover up much of the menu and search area), so we decided to leave that off for now until we received some feedback from our users (i.e. is that something you can live with/would want to have).

    We are considering optionally adding the mobile search feature – meaning you can turn it on or off depending on your preference/need. We realize organizations may have hundreds or thousands of records to search through and scrolling on the phone is certainly less than optimal.

    I don’t have an exact timeframe for having this feature added yet, but I think it may be able to make it into one of the next few updates.
