Search box broken down across two lines

I’m trying to add the search box on my FAQ page, but the box shows broken down across two lines, the upper one with the text “Enter Keywords”, the lower one with the magnifier icon. I’ve tried changing all possible settings on the Search tab in the backend, but nothing seems to work. I’m using template 7
