Search box behind navigation

    I am trying to get my search box in the navigation bar. It is there but I can’t click on it but I can tab into it from the last tab so afaics it is behind the navigation bar. I have messed around with where I load it, inside or outside the site navigation div and also tried setting z-index (.main_navigation to -1 and search to 1).

    No luck so far so I think I am barking up the wrong tree(s). I could limit the width of the navigation bar but I like the way it works/looks other than not being able to click directly.

  • Take out the negative z-index and put in position: relative;.

    Also, the searchform needs to be hidden in small screen view, otherwise it’d mess up the theme’s small menu version.

    Thanks. It worked but then I tried it on a tablet and… thanks for the advice
