Search Bar not appearing when clicked

  • Hey there,

    For some reason when I click the search button at the top of the page it auto scrolls down but the search box doesn’t appear. It worked perfectly at the start and on the mobile site however it has decided to stop.

    I’m happy to try and help. I’ve had a quick look at the site on my laptop and on my iPhone 8. Here’s what I see..

    – on the laptop, in Chrome browser, the search icon does nothing. It just weirdly does a little scroll of the page. Not the expected behavior.

    – The mobile theme eliminates the search icon from the header area of the site.

    Can you send me a screen shot of what you’re seeing on mobile? Use a program like snag.gy to link it here and I can have a look.

    Hey there –

    On the mobile site the search bar works fine, so thats ok. Its on the desktop that im having the problem with, as you described it just slowly scrolls down and doesn’t show the search bar?

    The theme demo is working for me. When you click on the search icon, the menu is replaced by a search text bar.

    On your site, the menu isn’t going anywhere… Do you have any custom CSS added to customize the menu at all? If not, we will need to file a bug report, as I see the odd search behavior in multiple browsers.

    Hey there-

    I have deleted all of the CSS and the website still behaves the same way for some reason? The theme demo works fine for me also but for some reason, it doesn’t work on my site.

    Let’s try one more thing.

    Can you try disabling all of your plugins, and then check the site to see how that search function looks?
