Search bar logic

  • Dear Themehunk,
    I want to change the “search for product” logic of open shop to “search for category” in the search bar. Please help me with the logic and file location for this modification.

    Hello Satyam,

    If you check theme demo https://themehunk.com/wp-themes/open-shop/, Search already contain category field. You can use this field for category search. If you want we can help you in removing search by product field.

    I need assistance in two fields:

    2. Help me include category with no product in search bar

    Hello there,

    It means that when you click on particular category it shows product related to that.
    If yes then this functionality is already available in the left sidebar of theme.

    Where you can see all the categories and by clicking on it you see products.

    No, not that way…
    Actually I don’t have products on my site, I redirect the customer to a website based on the product category.
    So, I wish to use the search bar to find a category or sub-category instead of a product…
