Search Bar Form to Auto Load Results on New Web Page?
-
Hi Guys,
I’m a first time poster, I absolutely LOVE Forminator, so much so that I’ve removed all my other form generators! I’m awfully sorry to bother you like this, particularly if I’m doing this the wrong way.. I’m not really sure! ??
On my small live bands agency homepage, just below my main slider photo, I’ve just added a quick 4-element single line search function – I hoped I could do it with my Forminator plugin, so this is what I have on the site so far. It has three main categories – ‘event type’, ‘event date’, and ‘event location’, and then just the ‘search now’ button on the right hand end making up the four (hopefully on the right end anyway – I haven’t figured out how to put it at the right side yet – it’s just stuck below on the left!).. Anyway, I just need a person to be able to input their three bits, and then when they hit ‘search now’, it just takes them to one of the 4 specific categories pages I use (as per their event type selected), so they can see the basic list of bands presented to them for the event type they selected (from my four wedding, corporate event, university event or private party pages).
At this point, I seem to only be able to make the new search results page load to one category page only (currently just the wedding bands page, regardless of what category they select, as I can only find a way to add that one new url address). Is there a way to make the search results page present, to match the event type they selected? If so, ideally it would also be good if the page dropped down to the spot where the actual band listings start, rather than the blurb above all the bands?
Anyway, any help or advice would be wonderful.. again, I’m sorry for the trouble. ??
Many Thanks,
