Search bar for tag searching?

I am building a gallery sort of webpage for advertisements and want a search feature that can index and search by the tags associated with gmedia. Is this possible? I know you can search for tags in the admin section and therefore it is available, just not to the public. Is there a way to get a search feature to the front end of a website for gmedia tags?
