Search Bar for Categories and Tag Pages

HI!

I’m using the Garfunkel theme. Really like it. But, I’d like to add a search option that will appear on the “Category” and “Tags” pages. As far as I can tell, the only place to put a search bar is in the foot, which appears only on proper pages and posts. I had hoped to put one in the Navigation Bar, but after reading another post, this seems unlikely. Is it possible to put one on the “Category”/”Tag” page itself, perhaps right below the text: “CATEGORY: XXXXX” / “TAG: XXXXX”.
