• Hi,

I am using the Free Astra Theme.

I recently add a “Search bar” in the website header but it only shows in Desktop theme.

Primary Menu > Last Item in Menu > Search

Is it possible to show this same “Search bar” in the mobile theme?

Is this only for Astra Pro Version?

    Best regards,

    jS

  • Hi @tomucho,

On mobile, the Search bar is located in the dropdown along with the menu items. If you would like to have the Search bar on the outside of the dropdown, you need to enable the Take Last Item Outside Menu feature.

Apart from that, instead of keep using the old header/footer, I would suggest you to switch to the new Header Footer Builder. It’s easier and more robust.

    Hi Herman,

    Thanks for your quick response.

I was not aware that I had the option to turn on “Use New Header/Footer”
    Indeed seems very robust.

I was able to add the “Search bar” in the Mobile theme as you have suggested.

Now my last question is adding this “Search bar” below the header do affect in any way the loading speed time of the mobile theme?

I have added some background color to make the “Search bar” more noticeable in mobile theme.

    Best regards,

    jS

    Hi @tomucho,

Yes, the new Header Footer Builder is more robust indeed ??

Adding the Search Bar to the Below Header won’t affect the site speed.

    I hope it helps.

    Kind regards,
    Herman ??
