Search Bar and Slow Title Load

  • These are two of many issues which appear to be impacting load speed.

    1 is the site title, the other the apearance of a search bar at the top of the site (useful, but an odd place!) which I cannot find a way of removing or moving.

    There is a child theme added to Astra which I do not pretend to understand. This is what Page Speed Insights says: (and I may have totally misunderstood it!)

  • Hi @stevepett,

    I retested the page using the PageSpeed Insights tool, and this time, the LCP score showed significant improvement. You can view the updated report via this link.

    Additionally, I noticed that the search bar is pulling assets from the Jetpack plugin, as shown in this screenshot. To remove or update it, you’ll need to adjust the plugin settings or reach out to their support team.
