  • Hi Dan,
    Yes.
In Customizer > Header design > Header menus > Mobile devices : display a search field -> tick that

    Hiya,

    Thanks.

On https://waltonchurch.org/ and https://suffolkholidaylodge.co.uk/ I have that box ticked, but no search bar on mobile device.

    Any help appreciated.

    dan.

Same here. I guess it’s a bug. Is there any way to fix it? Thanks.

    Hi,

You need to be using current Hueman Theme and Hueman Addons plugin.

Go to Appearance -> Customize -> “site wide options tab” -> Header design -> Header menus

Find the setting -> Select the menu(s) to use for mobile devices
Select -> Topbar and header menus, logo centered

This is the only option that has search icon visible in mobile, the search field is within mobile menu for the other two options.

The option -> Mobile devices : display a search field
Refers to a search field which means a search input. Does not refer to search icon. All three options in -> Select the menu(s) to use for mobile devices contains a search field. There is no bug here.

Here’s a related documentation which could provide more details.

    Thank you

    Hi Denzel,

    You write

This is the only option that has search icon visible in mobile, the search field is within mobile menu for the other two options.

Can you please enter a printscreen about this latter feature, how the search field have to look like within the mobile menu, in any of the “other two options”?

I read the documentation, made several settings trial, but no success in displaying a search field within the mobile menu.

    Denzel,

We know already the options. All what you said is already selected in the settings. Even though, the search field doesn’t appear in the mobile version of the menu. There is a bug in the settings that need to be fixed.
The search field is displayed ONLY when the “Topbar Menu” is selected or when “Header menu” is selected, but not when “Topbar and header menus, logo centered” is selected.
(Kerdezo, I’m sorry for interrupting here, but it seems we are having the same issue).

    Hi,

    Please see my screen-cast.

If you are using any cache plugin, you will need to clear your cache content.

    Thank you

    Hi Denzel,

    Thanks for the info.

@kerdezo – Did it work out with you? I’m still facing the same issue. I don’t think a caching problem since it can be shown in the “Topbar Menu” (when selected) and in the “Header menu” (when selected)… It’s not shown when “Topbar and header menus, logo centered” is selected :/

    Hiya,

I needed header menu for desktop and then topbar and header centred for mobile. this works exactly as needed on all my sites…

    thanks!!

    Hi heddo,

    Yes it works now,
but during tests sometimes previews were not showing the search field, but after “save and apply” it was appearing in real site. (After saving the data I tested not only on my desktop and mobile, but on ‘mobiletest.me’ site.)
Also happened, that after “save and apply” it was getting appeared on the preview, but not appearing on real site, and when I went back into the customizer settings realized that data was not saved. I had to enter and save data again to make it work.
All the above things might be related to my system and not Hueman -guess ??

    Cheers!
