    Dear Yoast,

    I encounter a strange problem with Yoast SEO. Each time I want to adjust the Search appearance settings, the plugin deletes all input that was originally stored in these settings.

    When I check and uncheck the XML-sitemaps for example under Functions, that works as expected.

    It is really an urgent problem. I already tried finding plugin conflicts and searching the log files but I can’t seem to find any malfunctions.

    Hello @lsdevign,

    Thanks for reaching out!

    We are not sure why this is occurring but it may be due to a conflict with another plugin. Please follow this troubleshooting guide to rule out any conflict.

    @lsdevign,

    Just to confirm, are you using Yoast SEO v14.9 and WordPress v5.5.1?

    Unfortunately, we think the issue is specific to your site. We’d need to investigate further but are unable to do so on these forums. You can purchase Yoast SEO Premium and receive our Premium email support and we can help you further.

    Same problem to my site, so i think it is not site specific..

    Hi @iv4b

    Thank you for chiming in. If you experience the same, please also do a conflict check as suggested before in this topic.

    We would like to dive in, but if the issue persists in troubleshooting mode with all other plugins deactivated and while using a default theme, there might be other issues or conflicts going on that prevent settings to be in the Yoast plugin settings.

    Besides doing the conflict check, please check if there are any Javascript errors on the setting pages when Yoast SEO is the only active plugin. You can find out how to check for those here: https://yoast.com/help/how-to-find-javascript-errors-with-your-browsers-console/.

    This might lead us to a cause.

    Yea, console is clean, but extra info.
    I am rying to narrow the issue and for us it is only appearing on production, but on demo site(same plugins and versions) it is working like expected ??

    That might be interesting indeed to see what is different between the two. If a conflict check does not seem to find anything and the browser console doesn’t log anything else, you might want to check server logs next.

    If you do need further assistance, feel free to create your own topic so we try to find a cause together.
