Is there a filter to exclude CPTs from “search appearance”? as some CPTs is by developers only built for backend and not public or queryable frontend.

Is there a way for me to hide them in “search appearance” to listen to user roles as other user roles should not see this one.

And for developing, is there a filter to exclude? So user role management in other plugins can hide this cpt from Yoast “search appearance”

    Hello @alriksson,

    Thanks for reaching out.

The Yoast SEO has a feature to exclude a CPT without using filters. This can be achieved by setting the option to ‘Show the CPT in search results’ to ‘No’ in SEO > Search Appearance > Taxonomies.

    Thanks.

Sorry, let me try to explain it. You did not understand my question. You refer to globally change noindex settings on the CPT. I refer to not display it in Yoast.

Developers use CPT for wp-admin only to structure things. They are not accessible frontend and Yoast do not need to define any search appearance settings here.

So I wondered what is Yoast looking at in the CPTs to include or exclude? And do yoast have nay filter to exclude a cpt?

@alriksson Just to clarify, you are trying to not show CPT in the SEO>Search Appearance area of the plugin?

Correct, but figured out you base it on wp standards as if the CPT is public => true

A wp admin CPT for structure should not be defined to be public.

    Hi @alriksson,

That is correct. If the CPT has public => false, it should not show up in the plugin settings.
