Search and Replace does a fine job changing URLs on internal links after I moved to different permalink settings. However, it doesn’t pick up the URLs in comments. Presumably that’s because these are in a different database even though the _comments and _commentsmata tables are in the Select Tables list.

Is there a way to change URLs in comments? I’d do it manually by I have 4000 to deal with.

You should use the tool s/r for any table, there you select manual in the plugin, not the URL specific search, there is more for a change of the url of the current install.

    Hi Frank

Yes, I use the normal Search and Replace tab, but I noticed that some of the URLs in comments are not picked up. This could be down to caching, but I’ve tried refreshing the cache and they are still there. I suspect some comments use another table that’s not in the S&R list or are saved elsewhere (maybe offsite).

    Hi Bill.
Can you try it with the current dev version. We have implement a lot of changes, improvements. It was really helpful in your context that it works.
