Search and replace certain expressions

  • Hi all

    This is what I want to do: find any occurrence of e.g. John 15:10 in the_content() and replace it with a link like so:
    <a href="https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?version=NIV&search=John%2015:10">John 15:10</a>

    I think I was meant to use regex; but don’t know where to start. If a similar question has been asked before, kindly direct me to the thread, since I can’t seem to find one upon searching the forum.
